Quit Complacency

Traditionally, the month of December is marked by festive celebrations for those who celebrate the Christmas holiday season. It is also the month of reflection preceding the New Year. While some of us have been blessed abundantly with health and wealth, anno 2015, unfortunately, fellow humans still live in poverty and under harsh circumstances

The question is what can I do to make a difference? How can I create awareness, be outstanding and stand out! I also ask myself these questions with each edition of Colors. Is this publication making a difference or is it just another “unnoticed” medium in the overcrowded digital media landscape?

From where we started three years ago in December 2012, to where we are today, progress can be noted in content, presentation, an increase of contributors and readers. The free contributions by the team with several articles of timeless content have been priceless. Browse Archive and read for yourself.

This issue of Colors comes with articles about the world we are living in, and the world we want to have, seen through the eyes of ex- war reporter and novelist Arturo Pérez-Reverte and history professor Carlos di Palma, who kindly have accepted our invite to contribute to Colors.

Though I am profoundly grateful for these achievements, I refuse to be complacent and remain in my comfort zone. Together with Claudia and Guillermo as staff members, we believe much more can be achieved to make a difference and be different. In the coming months, we will retreat to focus on a smarter and stronger strategy, targeted to our readers and financially profitable as well. Thank you for your support.

On behalf of COLORSzine, I wish you a Blessed New Year!
